The renovation of this row house bungalow's ground floor in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, covering 2600 sq ft, with a design scope of 1350 sq ft, is a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic vision. The project encompasses the drawing room, music room, and kitchen, with the overarching concept focused on extending openness throughout the common spaces.

The kitchen underwent a transformative change, transitioning from a C layout to an island design, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal. The drawing room's furniture layout was strategically altered to incorporate a couch and two single-seater sofas, fostering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The connection between the drawing room and kitchen was deliberately emphasized, promoting a seamless flow between these shared spaces.

A distinctive feature lies in the treatment of the common wall between the drawing room and the music room. This wall serves a dual purpose, functioning as a display for exhibits in the drawing room and as a visual connection between the two.

The music room is thoughtfully designed to showcase musical instruments as exhibits when not in use, contributing to the aesthetic appeal of the drawing room. the design aligns with both meditative and musical practices. The Om symbol on the west wall serves as a focal point for meditation, creating a serene environment and transforms into a captivating backdrop for the performer, adding a multi-functional aspect to the space.
This renovation project successfully marries practical functionality with artistic expression, creating an inviting and versatile living space
